Final races of the 2011 season

Lap after lap. This is why we race
The final National and Provincial race series proved to be the fastest racing of the year. Shannonville race track has top gear straights and even one corner has you shifting to top. Unforgettable !!
There were lots of bar to bar battles all weekend. The closeness of the racing at that speed left me in a racers state of addiction.
Dave Arnold is the Canadian master of fast with style.
Dave Arnold the 2010 Open Pro National champ came to race Max and he showed he still has the speed to take next years title.
It was very disappointing Max Sylvestre did not show to race the last of the Nationals as he had already won on points.
This is how close the racing was for half the race,
before I could find a safe spot to stick the pass for 2nd.
Saturday was hectic in the pit as I picked up a piece of old fence wire that went in to my new rear tire on the 250. My partner Pauline and pit crew pulled it out only to hear a hiss to which she responded by putting her finger on the hole, as she looked up at me we laughed and I asked if she could hold it in till the next race, lol We also had to make a tire and gear change on the 450.
Made it just in time run in one of the closest battles of the day. Man I love new tires.
First time battle to finish with pro Aaron McDonald

My brother Hal crashed in the Sportsman class and suffered a broken collar bone, three broken ribs, a large pavement burn,  and a bad concussion. He will be recuperating for at least a month.
He stayed in hospital for 48 hrs surveillance, as he had been knocked out for a while.

Hal's close battle in Sportsman class
